For 250 years, the quilts of America have witnessed the story of our nation from formal parlors, cozy living rooms, gallery walls, simple bedrooms, and the rough ground of the trail. They have wrapped new babies and sleeping soldiers, commemorated weddings and farewells, warmed loved ones and inspired millions.

Many of the patterns, tools, and techniques we still use have passed from hand to hand, re-made with each generation’s voice. Others are fresh inventions, expanding the possibilities of what today’s quilters can achieve.

The 2026 Brandywine Valley Quilt show, Evolution and Revolution invites you to walk among these stories. You might discover warmth, beauty, and a vision for what we'll piece together next.
