Travel Information

We are so excited to welcome you to the Brandywine Valley for the Evolution & Revolution quilt show!



The show will take place at Neumann University's Mirenda Center at 501 Convent Rd, Aston, PA 19014, shown on the map below. There is ample parking next to the entrance and overflow parking throughout the Neumann University campus. 


The building is easily accessible to those who use wheelchairs or who may have challenges going up and down stairs. All floors of the show are serviced by an elevator. 




Transportation

If travelling from NYC, Baltimore, or Washington D.C. areas, Amtrak's train service will get you into the station at Wilmington, Delaware or Philadelphia's 30th Street Station in a few hours. Taxi lines, Ubers, and Lyfts are available from the station.


If travelling from further afield, Philadelphia International Airport is a large hub that services all major domestic carriers. Public transport, taxis, and rental car facilities are available once you land.

Old Country Store​


If you're a quilter and you've never been shopping in Lancaster County, we consider it a must see! The Old Country Store in Intercourse, PA is just one amazing shop that offers a selection of over 6,000 bolts of fabric, a wide range of beautiful locally-made quilts available for purchase, and a selection of kitchen wares. Head across the street for some lemonade and a pretzel to refuel.



​Longwood Gardens



If you've never been to the area before, you may still have heard of Longwood Gardens. Make a day out of it and view the 9,000+ species and varieties of plants spread out across more than 1,000 acres of gardens and elaborate horticultural displays. Originally founded by Pierre du Pont in 1906, it has since become world-renowned for its dedication to botany, design, education and art. 

Battle of Brandywine


The Battle of Brandywine was the largest single day battle of the American Revolution. Most preserved battlefield sites memorialize winning fights, but the Revolutionary Army actually lost ground at Brandywine. It covered the largest land area and incurred the most casualties of any battle in the war.

Tour the Benjamin Ring House, which George Washington used as his headquarters before the battle. Next door is the huge, 300+ year old Lafayette Sycamore linked to an intriguing historical myth... 


Brandywine Museum of Art


Discover an outstanding collection of American art housed in a 19th century mill with a dramatic steel and glass addition overlooking the banks of the Brandywine River. Renowned for its holdings of the Wyeth family of artists, the Brandywine River Museum of Art features galleries dedicated to the work of N.C., Andrew and Jamie Wyeth.
